ABOUT US

The Murakami Group is focused on the development of new catalytic reactions by using transition-metal catalysts and photo (redox) catalysts. We are synthesizing structurally new polyamines and ammonium salts as potential bioactive molecules.

Wataru Matsuoka, Specially Appointed Associate Professor from the Maeda Laboratory at Hokkaido University, gave a seminar entitled "Construction and Validation of a First-Principles Theory for Predicting Chemical Reactions."

We held the 12th Semiannual Research Presentation Meeting, followed by a social gathering.

The Kurahashi, Sato, and Murakami research groups held a softball tournament. In the evening, we enjoyed a joint dinner party, which provided a great opportunity to strengthen friendships among the members.
